About 5 Chefs

5 Chefs is the exciting new identity of a modern restaurant and hospitality brand founded by Mr Shamshul Alam, whose family has been involved in the restaurant industry in Guildford and across Surrey since 1960. Over the decades, the family operated popular restaurants known locally for their Mexican, Indian and Thai cuisine. Building on this rich heritage, 5 Chefs brings together five distinctive cuisines: Pan-Asian, South Asian, Greek, Lebanese and Mexican, under the promise "One Kitchen, Endless Choice." Our first flagship locations will open in Southampton and Portsmouth, supported by the experienced and celebrity hospitality figure Tommy Miah MBE, FRSA as our Chief Advisor, and the whole-hearted encouragement of respected Guinness World Record holders Chef Oli Khan MBE, FRSA and Chef Tipu Rahman, cornerstones of the Bangladesh Caterers Association UK (BCA).

At a time when many established Bengali and Indian restaurants are struggling or closing, 5 Chefs aims to offer suitable operators a new route forward through our franchise model. Franchise partners will have access to a refreshed multi-cuisine concept, recognisable branding, operational guidance, marketing support and modern systems designed to help revitalise their businesses and improve their potential for sustainable profitability.

Beyond restaurant dining, 5 Chefs will provide catering, event management and wider hospitality services. Our long-term vision is to build a trusted national brand that creates opportunities for restaurant owners, serves changing customer tastes and brings diverse communities together through great food.

Each cuisine has its own history, character and traditions. Our ambition is to respect that authenticity while presenting delicious, high-quality food for today's customers.
